These rules are short on purpose. They are enforced by people, not by keyword
matching, and the spirit matters more than the letter.
The rules
- Be civil. Disagree with the argument, not the person. No harassment, no
slurs, no pile-ons. - No personal data that is not yours. Do not post other people's names,
addresses, phone numbers, photographs or private messages. This includes
screenshots. - Redact your own secrets. API keys, tokens, passwords and session cookies
do not belong in a public topic. If you paste one by accident, rotate it
immediately — editing the post does not un-publish it. - No advertising or solicitation. Sharing something you built on the
platform is welcome in Show and Tell. Selling is not. - One topic per question. Do not post the same question in several forums.
Do not reply "any update?" to bump a thread. - Do not evade moderation. If a post is removed, do not repost it. If you
think a removal was wrong, say so — see "How to report a post or a member".
What happens when a rule is broken
Most of the time, a moderator edits or hides the post and tells you why. Repeat
or serious breaches lead to a warning, then a suspension. Every moderation
action is recorded with who took it and why, and you can ask for that reason.
Safety issues — threats, doxxing, content involving minors — are removed
immediately and are handled outside the forum.
Your account is one account
These rules cover the forum. The wider platform's terms and community
guidelines still apply, and a suspension there can reach here.
